A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifies that the post-Covid-19 situation, disaster prevention, youth and employment are among the topics of seven panels which will have public sessions until tomorrow, Thursday June 2.
The meeting entitled “EU-Central America Dialogue Days, New Alliances for Development” will provide a platform to renew political and technical exchanges with a view to strengthening the bi-regional partnership in the face of challenges such as green transition and equitable digital transformation.
The forum will be opened by Foreign Ministers, Erika Mouynes; Labor, Doris Zapata; and Social Development, María Inés Castillo, who will be accompanied by the President of the Europe-Latin America and Caribbean Foundation, Leire Pajín.
The evening at the Bolivar Palace, which will also be attended by the Deputy Director of the Development Center of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Federico Bonaglia, will be moderated by the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and security policy, Josep Borrell, by videoconference.
The keynote address of the opening day will be delivered by the Director of the Carolina Foundation, José Antonio Sanahuja, who will speak about the revitalization of the post-pandemic regional strategic partnership and the new world order.
