NIA builds Thai-French innovation diplomacy to make Thailand an “Innovation Country”, elevating Thai startups and entrepreneurs for global investment
BANGKOK, June 10, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The National Innovation Agency (NIA) continues to kick-start the innovation-based economy by Thailand after the COVID-19 situation improved thanks to four key private and public sector networks, as well as international organizations, such as France Banque Publique d’Investissement (Bpifrance), a unique organization dedicated to supporting start-ups »French Tech“, the “Station F” incubator program, Starburst, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development or OECD, to elevate innovation capabilities in Thailand in various aspects, while seeking investment and market expansion opportunities for Thai startups and entrepreneurs, especially in deeptech, which is a rising trend in the world of innovation, to make our businesses d more competitive innovation in the global market.

The NIA has signed a letter of intent with France Public investment bank (Bpifrance) to support and promote financial aid and investment for start-ups and entrepreneurs Thailand and France develop deep technology companies over the next five years on three key topics: 1) Exchanging financial and investment information in innovation business investment, 2) Developing investment partnerships, and 3) Promoting partnerships on deep technology which has a lot of potential to generate high value in Thailand.
During this visit to France, the NIA also met with “La French Tech”, a unique organization dedicated to supporting startups, to discuss an incubator or accelerator for deep tech startups, particularly in agriculture and agri-food, as part of the SPACE-F incubator program for tech startups in the agri-food industry. The NIA also discussed ways to develop and support aerospace innovation with Starburst, an aerospace company that drives the global aerospace innovation ecosystem through acceleration programs for startups in the fields of aviation, aerospace and military. The goal is to educate entrepreneurs and form an aviation and aerospace network to support other local businesses, in line with the NIA’s mission to enhance the capabilities of startups and high-tech entrepreneurs in the aerospace industry. worldwide.
Dr Pun-Arj added that the NIA joined the recent meeting of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to offer ideas and exchange views on the development of the innovation ecosystem. business in Thailand in four key areas, namely 1) The work of the National Startup Committee, 2) Supporting government procurement of local start-up products, 3) Forming a network of start-up companies in universities, and 4) Initiating international collaboration on innovation and coordinating with the OECD Development Center to form international networks and partnerships.
